Please help! Fainting daily with numbness following?
I have been fainting since I was about 10 or 11, I am now 22. For years doctors did not take my case seriously. Finally, after I had my son almost 2 years ago and gallbladder removal surgery shortly thereafter I finally received a referral to a cardiologist. As I was on the table under anesthesia I am told my heart rate dropped to about 30bpm. Long story short, I have been diagnosed with POTS- Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. It seems like the medication the doctor prescribed has yet to work. I am now fainting more often- even while sitting- and am out for up to 2 hrs sometimes! When I come back to my body is almost completely numb and stays that way for hours. I have also been having chest pains lately. Can someone please tell me if this is usual with POTS? I went to the hospital like my doctor told me to and they didn't seem too concerned since I eventually regained feeling... Any advice is appreciated!
